Summer camps were hosted for past and current students in the North Omaha area and beyond until the instructors retired. o Currently the space is being used for a hair salon and a local art exhibit.

Combination of capital project and service/program
The objective of this proposal is to renovate and revitalize the North 24th & Fort street corner building located at 5224 N. 24th street and turn it into a newly renovated Learning and Development Center. The center will collaborate with non-profit organizations and small business owners to help build skill levels and provide STEAM and other forms of training opportunities to help students and adults in this area and beyond gain the necessary skills and experience training needed to be prepared for the workforce. This project should be complete by 2025.
This project will be complete in phases. Phase 1. Excavating, Foundation and Ground Leveling, 3-6 months Phase 2. Mechanical, Electrical & Plumbing, 3-6 months Phase 3. Finishing Work, 6 months This project should be complete by 2025.

There is a strong need for various training skills and experience in the North Omaha community to help our members be equipped to apply for employment with the proper skills and experience or be able to start their own small business. Our building will be the place to house all the training and meeting activities for small businesses and non profit organizations.
This project will help renovate and revitalize the North 24th & Fort Street Corner and start the process of bringing back the historical beauty this area was known for.
The Renovation and Revitalization of the North 24th & Fort Street corner, specifically 5224 N. 24th street directly aligns within the locations zones of LB1024's strategic priorities.
The anticipated goal is to train as many students and adults as possible to open the doors to permanent jobs.
